Kim Shelton, Associate Professor of Classics and Director of the Nemea Center for Classical Archaeology, has received the award for Extraordinary Teaching in Extraordinary Times from the UC Berkeley Committee on Teaching. The award recognizes Professor Shelton's extraordinary dedication to teaching during this difficult and highly unusual year. The nomination came from her own students, and it was one of over 500 nominations received by the campus.
Professor Shelton wrote in a message to our community that she received invaluable support from her GSIs, AHMA student Elizabeth Keyser and Classical Archaeology student Susanna Fass-Bush, as well as from AHMA student Jesse Obert, who assisted her with the implementation of the online course format.
